Solar Projection One simple way to view the Sun is to project the Sun’s image on to a white surface like cardboard or screen using a binocular or telescope.  If you are using binoculars, cap off the front of one side.  If you are using a telescope, cap off or remove completely the finderscope. Never look through the optics at the Sun!  Instead aim the telescope or binocular at the Sun and project the Suns image onto the white surface.

Using this method you can observe Sunspots and Eclipses.
